An Ionic Breeze Personal Air Purifier
Review
If you’re thinking about buying an Ionic Breeze Personal Air Purifier, you’ve probably looked at some reviews
here and there. Here we’ll try and provide not only a good review, but also some facts to take with you.
What About The Interface? Will I Be Able To Figure It Out?
Lest you think this is another ad veiled as a review, the Ionic Breeze Personal Air Purifier actually has both
good points and bad. First, the control panel - it’s on top of the unit’s tower and features a button for power and
four lights indicating status. Some have complained that the red light is too bright if you have it in the room
with you at night when you’re trying to sleep.
The LED display is fairly straightforward, telling you what level of power the unit is on and if it needs to be
cleaned. It has an auto-shutoff if it gets too dirty. There have been stories about the electrostatic plates within
the unit causing fires if you let it get too dirty despite the auto-shutoff.
Is It Easy To Clean? How Often Do I Have To Clean It?
The Ionic Breeze Personal Air Purifier comes with some good points and bad when it comes to cleaning. It has no
filters to replace, just some blades you pop out and wipe off. You do have to stay on top of cleaning this unit.
Every four or five days you’ll have to do so. You’ll know it’s time if you’ve forgotten because the unit will get
loud as it gets clogged with debris. Make sure the blades are dry before putting them back in. This can be a pain;
so many people keep another set on hand.
You also have to clean the unit’s ionizing wires eight to ten days by turning the whole thing upside down. To
help keep it clean, don’t put this purifier close to candles, fireplaces or anything burning; it will pull soot
close towards it and quickly get covered in it. You should also keep it away from a wall - especially one painted
in light colors - as it may cause a dark spot because of all the debris in the air being pulled to that one
spot.
Do They Have Good Customer Service?
The Ionic Breeze Personal Air Purifier has a five-year return/refund warranty, which is negated if you obviously
failed to keep it clean. If you don’t keep it clean and cause it to break, that’s on you.
Rounding It Out
The Ionic Breeze Personal Air Purifier weighs stands a little over two feet high and weighs about 9 lbs. It
needs 10 to 40 watts of electricity (depending on which model you have) and you should probably use a surge
protector when using it so it isn’t damaged by an electrical surge. Also worth noting is that it only plugs into
outlets that are grounded, i.e., three-pronged outlets.
